I have a new interest... a new guy interest to be exact
Dylan....he lives in Hickman
which was originally named Heckman, but some towns person spelled it wrong on the water tower leaving them no choice but to go by Hickman.
+ he shoots film photography
+ he plays soccer
+ he skateboards
+ he listens to the same music i do
+ he can play the piano and can sing very well
+ he has moved around 6 times
+ he has a faint southern accent
+ he is super goofy
+ he hates alcohol and drugs (which is something we share)
+ he is 6'2
anyway he is great guy, whether we become more than friends soon or that is all we ever are he definitely knows how to make me smile and we seem to bring the best out in each other.

be my valentine...
I was born on August 14, which makes my half birthday February 14.
consequently, Valentines day has been cursed for me my whole life. I have never had an actual "valentine". This year i have yet to have one once again, however last night I got an offer from a fairly nice guy I know from Lincoln, I said yes but I am pretty positive that it still does not count.
So after several years of never having a special valentines day of any kind, I have come to a conclusion. It is sad that we have to dedicate a day to saying I love you to someone. even more sad is the fact that for this day the corporate yayhoooos that work for Hallmark, chocolateteers, and other common V-day gift distributors, are making millions and millions of dollars off of something that if you really meant, should be said every day.
although some people tend to go with more adorable gifts such as, cooking dinner for someone, making someone a homemade gift, or even just spending time with someone. These are the gifts that truly shout the meaning of the holiday.

apparently for anyone...
so i reviewed another blog by Colin i kinda feel like a stalker but its all good since i am not really stalking him i just like to read his blogs and I've never heard anyone call someone who stalks someones writing a creeper or anything so it works.
Kay so my thoughts to these points.

- My parents decided that today would be a good day to yell at me about how I hold my fork incorrectly. After 18 years of holding my fork that way. As far as I'm concerned, it's not important at all. I hold my pencil correctly..at least?
- I tried purchasing Sun Chips from the vending machine but they got stuck. So after pounding on the machine (and receiving beef jerky by accident), Julie, Blake, and Eric all pitched in and strategically picked items that were placed above the Sun Chips so they would fall through the slot. Erm. Did I really just share that story with you?
- I GOT A BLACKBERRY!!! Um. Is there really anything else to say? It's wonderful and entirely overwhelming at the same time.
- I got sucked into Creative Writing Club when I went in to talk about stuff with Hallberg. I needed another club to be involved in, huh?
- It was my dad's birthday and the crew at the mexican restaurant told us that they were "too busy" to sing Happy Birthday. Never heard that one before.
- I'm kind of weirded out by the semester changes. There was a sophomore in my painting class that sat next to me and demanded that I play cards with him. It's going to be an interesting semester.
Kay so my thoughts to these points.
- i once remember my grandma telling my cousin to stop holding his spoon like a shovel. Yet i hold my pencil wrong and do not recall ever being told that i hold it wrong. it is awesome how much my teachers must have cared about my future writing life.
- with as often as food gets stuck in vending machines you would think someone would have come up with a more logical way to distribute fatty foods.
- if one more person gets a blackberry i think we should invoke a new law that all cellular devices should be called blackberries not cell phones. Then the other phones can just be like the chocolate blackberry or the razor blackberry. kinda like how in the south everything is coke.
- I have always wanted to join creative writing, however i am afraid if i joined i would loose all my creativeness.
- has anyone ever noticed that Applebees stopped singing happy birthday to people, what is up with that? could they not hirer anyone who could carry a note, maybe they should get a hold of Disney or something, cause it seems like everyone of their employees has an "amazing" voice.
- I am taking art one this year, yes i know that isn't a normal class for a senior but when you are trying to graduate with highest distinction you try and take all the classes to meet those qualifications first. Anyway their are 4 seniors in our class and out of us four i happen to be the only one stuck sitting by 3 freshmen. it is interesting

Articulation
So recently i have come in contact with a nice young man by the name of Colin. He is a feature writer for a pape in Washington. I actually think that he will be attending nationals this year.
anyway i have fallen in love with his writing style....i sort of wish i had the extensive vocabulary that he presents in all of his blogs.
One of my favorite blogs of his was a blog about all of the thing he recently has realized.
things like...
ELLIOTT BAY Book Co. is the most incredible place ever.
My mother is, um, not very good with technology.
There are many, many more awkward situations that I have yet to document.
I apparently also haven't been introduced to all of the great magazines out there.
Snow has the ability to turn heads.
Holding illegal substances and asking for money don't work together harmoniously.
I am stuck on this matter: Which is better? A cold or warm toilet seat?
example:
Snow has the ability to turn heads.
Seated in a Seattle Thai restaurant, I noticed the party to my right mention SNOW. Which, in moments, turned into this fury of readjustment in seats to look out the window. THE WHOLE RESTAURANT. But, I'm glad it wasn't some nasty joke because I hate those. It actually was/is snowing in Seattle. Yay, right?
anyway i think his writing is quite studly!
